What is Entrepreneurship York ?

Our SIFE team meets with local high school students to give them a look at every aspect of running a business. The students go through the entrepreneurial process as if they were running a business from the ground up, factoring finances and risks into the mix. Local entrepreneurs provide inspiration for the students as they speak about how they implemented the same procedures in their own business. Entrepreneurship York allows the students to expand their horizons and potentially create their own business. They present what they have come up with to real investors. SIFE team members work closely with these high school students both inside and outside of the program to make sure the students get a feel for the world of entrepreneurship. This year, the SIFE students will be teaching the sessions and mentoring the highschool students. The students will be encouraged to develop realistic business plans with low start up costs. Students with the winning business plans will be awarded money to start up their own business. Fall Term: October - December Spring Term: February - April
