What is York College in the City?

York College in the City/Spring Into the City: York SIFE plans two one-day trips into the city where students can easily experience the best it has to offer. The students on this tour enjoy a free, fun-filled day, which includes a meal of their choice from one of the many vendors in the Central Market, and the exploration of numerous shops, many of which provide discounts and samples solely for the students on this trip. Many of the participating businesses extend these exclusive promotions year-round for the York College students. As the students familiarize themselves with the area, the downtown businesses gain the opportunity to reach the student body. Businesses have provided us with testimonials saying many of the students that participate in this trip return downtown again and again. This year, instead of offering a free catered meal, student will recieve meal vouchers to use in York’s Central Market at a place of their choosing. As an extra incentive, if students complete a follow-up survey, they will recieve more vouchers to go back to the market on another day. The Fall trip will take place on Saturday, October 8th. We are currently in the process of creating monthly trips!
